Feathers and Fins

about

I think this was one of the first songs I wrote for composition at university, about three years ago. However, I completely failed this assignment haha. I blame my teacher at the time for that! It wasn't a big deal though. I had a photo which was like an artistic stand of birds and fish in a seamless pattern. I had literally thought "ok, write a piece of music inspired by this" but what I was supposed to do was make up some sounds and use the patterns, shapes and lines of the picture to "direct" how they would go. Yeah it was weird.

I still like this piece for being chill and going on a journey. When I came back to it though I lost all the bird sounds so those are gone. Imagine it like a dream, flying with the birds and then going down into the ocean discovering wonders and then rising back out, returning from that dream.
