Sven B. Schreiber (sbs) It doesn't really matter that it's an unfinished soundtrack for a prematurely abandoned game. Nevertheless, the listener experiences it as a cohesive suite of wonderful movements, seamlessly fitting together. Many thanks to Alex for releasing it anyway! Favorite track: Rainfall ~The Sojourn~ (Trailer Music).

Kadin Wisniewski Lots of very cool melodies and interesting chord progressions in some of these songs! Very nice, relaxing soundtrack. Favorite track: Stillness Everlasting.

Stein Gunnar Bakkeby I just love the atmosphere in this album. It has a certain charming stillness to it that is quite rare in game soundtracks. I can only imagine that this would have been truly epic had the project gone through.

A big thank you to Alex for releasing this, I have no doubt that there are more great things to come. Favorite track: Seasonal Dew.

about

Rainfall ~The Sojourn~ was an action RPG I was going to be composing for and was successfully kickstarted in December 2012. Sadly the project was cancelled last year and I was not able to complete much of the soundtrack at all. I had some requests to release the music so here it is. I am very sorry if you were one of the people looking forward to this game.

The music was inspired by the 32 bit era of RPGs and the aim was to sound like a game from the Playstation. Every hostile location in the game was going to have an alternate battle version so battles felt fresh and exciting every time. I had more ambitions but was unable to see any of them through.
